Effective date: 2025
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of nanoimage.net and the services, tools, pages, and features provided by NanoImage ("NanoImage," "we," "our," or "us").
By using NanoImage, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Service Description
NanoImage provides online image tools, including tools for compressing, resizing, cropping, converting, editing, cleaning, and creating image files.
Many NanoImage tools are designed to run directly in your browser. Some future features may use server-side processing, AI services, paid plans, credits, APIs, or other advanced features.
2. Eligibility
You may use NanoImage only if you can legally enter into these Terms under applicable law. If you use NanoImage on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Your Content
"Your Content" means any images, files, text, HTML, data, or other materials you upload, process, edit, generate, or download using NanoImage.
You retain ownership of Your Content. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and legal authority to use, upload, modify, process, and download it.
4. License to Process Your Content
When you use NanoImage, you grant us a limited, temporary, non-exclusive license to process Your Content only as necessary to provide the requested tool or service.
For browser-based tools, processing may occur locally in your browser and NanoImage may not receive Your Content.
For server-side tools, if any, this license allows us and our service providers to upload, process, convert, analyze, temporarily store, and return Your Content only as needed to provide the service, maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use NanoImage to:
- Violate any law or regulation.
- Infringe intellectual property rights or privacy rights.
- Upload or process content you do not have the right to use.
- Create, edit, or distribute harmful, abusive, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or illegal content.
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, scan, or attack NanoImage systems.
- Circumvent usage limits, security controls, or access restrictions.
- Use automated scraping, bots, or bulk requests that harm service performance.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Use NanoImage to support spam, fraud, phishing, or deceptive activity.
We may restrict, block, or terminate access if we believe these Terms are violated.
6. Intellectual Property
NanoImage, including its website design, branding, logo, icons, interface, text, graphics, code, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from NanoImage materials unless we give written permission, except where allowed by law. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in NanoImage.
7. Third-Party Content and Services
NanoImage may include links to third-party websites, libraries, APIs, hosting services, analytics tools, payment processors, AI providers, or other services. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, availability, security, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
8. Free Tools and Future Paid Features
NanoImage may offer free tools. We may also introduce paid features, subscriptions, credits, APIs, higher usage limits, AI tools, or Pro services in the future.
"Free tools" does not mean that every feature will always be free or unlimited. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. If paid services are introduced, additional payment terms may apply.
9. Usage Limits
NanoImage may set limits on file size, number of files, processing frequency, output resolution, batch size, API usage, or other service features. We may change these limits to protect performance, reliability, security, and fair use. Attempting to bypass limits is prohibited.
10. Browser-Based Tools
Many tools run in your browser. Performance may depend on your device, browser, memory, file size, and network environment. NanoImage does not guarantee that every file will process successfully, especially large, corrupted, unsupported, or unusual files. You are responsible for checking output files before using or sharing them.
11. Output Files
NanoImage tools may produce edited, converted, compressed, resized, generated, or otherwise modified output files. You are responsible for reviewing output files for accuracy, quality, metadata, privacy, format compatibility, and legal compliance before using them. We do not guarantee that output files will meet your specific requirements.
12. No Professional Advice
NanoImage is provided as a general-purpose image utility website. We do not provide legal, professional, security, compliance, design, publishing, or business advice. You should not rely on NanoImage as the sole method for compliance-sensitive image processing, privacy protection, evidence handling, archival preservation, or regulated workflows.
13. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue NanoImage or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to NanoImage.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
NanoImage is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.
We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, files will always process successfully, output will be accurate or suitable for your purpose, metadata will always be fully removed, compression or editing results will meet your expectations, or the website will be free from harmful components.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NanoImage and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, files, goodwill, business, or reputation.
This applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NanoImage and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your use of NanoImage, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party rights, or your misuse of output files.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to NanoImage at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, abused the service, or used the service unlawfully. You may stop using NanoImage at any time.
18. Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. The specific governing jurisdiction may be added before launch based on the operating entity behind nanoimage.net.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective date or Last updated date. Your continued use of NanoImage after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
